The Needs Assessment Committee exists to support the efforts of St. Vincent de Paul volunteers who encounter households that would benefit from more than a one time gift.
Through generous donations we have been able to pay union dues for a working father, allowing him to better provide for his family and possibly keeping the family from being evicted.
Another household received partial rent support over the course of a few months and was connected with work opportunities.
Our latest service was to provide the funding needed to repair a vehicle for a woman struggling to make ends meet.
All of the stories above are real situations that surfaced through face to face visits between our volunteers and the people in need who often had repeated requests for assistance.
The Needs Assessment Program exists to get to the core of what was causing the instability in the household finances and offer mentor ship and goal setting as well as monetary assistance.
Our goal is to provide assistance that will lift the household out of the cycle of needing assistance.
Please join us in this very meaningful program.
